What was wrong with the Glock 30?? Heck, the 30 is certainly ultra compact and lightweight, and .45 cal?? Im a bit confused.... Sounds like you sold the gun you needed in my opinion.

Sorry, it's a Springfield. And nothing wrong with Glocks, but they don't fit my paws too good.

Not sure where you're located, but the XD's are pretty readily available. Any good gun shop, or Fisherman's should have them.

Best advice is to handle many of them and see what fits you best.

I dont know alot about pistols, but after a close call with mr bear because my old pistol was heavy enough i stuck it in the pack. I started looking into pistols designed to be wore alot. ie. aluminum frames, <5" barrels.

Ended up with kimber pro carry 2 Love it

I like my Springfield Armory XD 40 cal. It's a sub compact with either a short grip or a longer clip for an extended grip. Light weight and pretty reasonably priced under $550. Should be able to find them at Sportsmans Warehouse and fishermans marine. Good luck

Why don't you look at the smith and wesson. They have their new pistol out can't remember the name but it has a smaller grip than the glock and its well compact. Plus its a sweet looking gun around $500. I sure love my glock though!!

Take a look at the C.Z. The 06 in made in a couple of models. Great shooters, nice lines and nice fit. About 525-550 for the price.
