Default New SST info from NOAA

Ever wondered what the SST looked like when there was cloud cover over the ocean?

Whats New
NOAA CoastWatch has a new sea surface temperature product that can retrieve values through clouds. The microwave data are from the TMI instrument aboard the TRMM spacecraft. This new product has global coverage, a resolution of 30km, and is considered experimental.

The main page of images is located here:

NOAA MODIS SST

30km might be a little high, but it can give you an idea of whats happening. Better than nothing!

Very cool. A little high but still good info especially on those cloudy days/weeks.
