Crabalone Success

Just got back from CA, where we took abs and crabs over the weekend. Diving conditions were poor, so I took a limit Friday, but the vis shut down and the swell came up saturday and shut us out.

Over three days we took over 250 crab out of 9 pots. WOW. That's good crabbing for down there. Downside is 90 feet of water with 150 feet of rope. YOW.

Slimy and tasty in one hand, pinchy and tasty in the other.

Lots of fun with old friends.

Glad you got to dive at least one day.

A trip like that sounds like a heck of a good time.

I've never had abalone but I hear it's godlike.

Crabalone is held at Bodega Bay. Sometimes we dive as far north as Salt Point, but these abs were taken right off Bodega Head before the swell came up.
