Die question

Are all die brands universal? Do the threads match all loaders, or not. I know RCBS will fit in the Dillon I have, but what about other brands? Will Hornady fit RCBS, or Lyman with Lee, etc.

I believe that is true, today. Sometime ago, I believe in the 1950's, the die companies agreed to make the threads universal. I'm not sure what the exact year was, so really old dies will only fit presses of their same brand.

I can verify that Redding dies will fit a Lyman press.

I use a Hollywood press and use Lachmiller, RCBS, Lee and (if I win the auction ) CH dies in it.

Yes, pretty much.

I believe the common size is 7/8" x 14 tpi thread pitch.

Occasionally you'll run into special dies, like Dillon's Square Deal Presses, that take their own dies that AREN'T common with others.
