I was wondering if anybody else belongs to the wilderness conservation group Backcountry hunters and anglers. If you are tired of seeing ATVs all over your hunting and fishing areas they are a good group to look into. Based out of Eagle Point by the way.

I just found out about this organization.... have to say I love their ad with the guy saying "I'm 64, but I still hunt with the quads God gave me."

Think I will join.

BHA is the one group who gets my money right now. TU will in the future as soon as I have some more to give.LOL.
I think that BHA is the one group that has taken a no compromise stance on OHV abuse. A lot of other groups tend to ***** foot around this issue for fear of losing members support. The public's image of hunters as a whole is at an all time low in my opinion and we need groups like this who will risk alienating a small group for the better of the whole.
All you have to do is take a drive down I82 the day before the opener to see how much of a problem this is. I bet over half the hunting vehicle you see will have one or more quads strapped to them.
Is that the image you think that we as hunters should be projecting? The whole point of hunting is to escape from the motorized, computerized, digital world we are forced to spend most of our lifes in. Hunting is supposed to be hard work, your supposed to sweat and be sore the day after. It is my opinion that OHV's are the worst thing to happen to hunting as a whole in the last 20 years. Just my , hope I didn't offend any one too much.

My wife came up with that catch phrase "Use the Quads God gave you" at the second board meeting. The first board meeting was on Mike's back porch.
