Default Bent Props whos got a good prop man

Two sundays ago, we were down at Tillamook bay crabbing and I got a crab pot float jammed inbetween my props. What I have is a Volvo Duo prop and now I have a slight vibration. My props are aluminume and I'm pretty sure that the inner and outter shafts of my out drive are okay.

My question is does any one know a good prop man on the west side of Portland?

Second on Ampro. Inconveniently located next to Wichita pub on Hwy 212, the worlds busiest road. You can send the props UPS ground if you are not in a hurry. They will send them back the same way. The original box works well for this. Your marina store of choice may have some prop boxes for the asking.

Also some Marina stores will send it out for you. Stevens in Tigard does this every week. They go to Imco? or something like that in N. Portland.

Ampro gives great service and the prop comes back correctly repaired, balanced and painted. They weld new metal on chipped or broken props, fix skegs or anticavitation vanes on outdrives and don't charge alot either. Most Mercruiser 140 props I get done for $70 and come back in one week.

Ampro has done all prop repairs, Aluminum or brass for the last 10 years for me and my boats. It will look new when you get it back. I agree about using the prop as a fuse. SS props break outdrives and bend prop shafts, extra horsepower be damned.

Hope this helps.
