Thanks , Salty Dogs
Im back from the weekend in Or..
I just wanted to say thanks for making my wife and myself feel welcome at the T.A. meeting.
My wife mentioned how nice everyone was ,and that it wasnt as painful as she thought. Thanks everyone.
The meeting was too short for me . I met and chatted with many , watched some films , and learned a bit.
But I do regret not meeting more of you and I especially regret not getting more time talking with Ocean Blue. (Ocean blue please email me your address, I have a thank you).
My wife and kids had a blast sight seeing .Sat. we went to the Portland Zoo, my daughter loved it, and then a mall for several hours,my wife loved that.
Sunday morning we went thru the Bonneville dam ( fish ladder) and the fish hatchery. For my son the fish hatchery was the best.
As we drove home my wife said thanks for the best anniversary ever.(no hunting or fishing)
I know most of the salty's thought I was crazy but it worked out great.
Special thanks to Bait Boys wife . Please tell your wife thanks for me Bait Boy .
Great bunch, thanks all. id. painter

Re: Thanks , Salty Dogs
Hey ID,
Welcome, glad I finally got to meet you and your family.
I thought you were smarter than to even admit you knew any of us T/A's.
Think Tuna for next year.

Great to meet you too... glad you had a good visit and safe trip home.
Look foreward to seeing you out on the salt next summer now that you've met the local crew.

Re: Thanks , Salty Dogs
My wife wanted to thank your wife as well for making this an OK event. she even said it was better than she thought it wasgoing to be. Much of that was due to the fact that they connected and kept each other sane while we galavanted through the crowd. Now your coming to all of them right? if you can't just send your wife.....

Re: Thanks , Salty Dogs
Glad to hear I made a contribution, Bait boy.
I didnt have time for a descent thank you to Miss B. ,Corrirod, and Ocean Blue.
Thanks to Rod ,I now have a new Salty dog flag.
Thanks to Mel for the chastity (fighting) belt and the offer to be devirginized on your boat.
And ,Im sorry I forgot the fish,, I started getting that "its time to go now", look form the boss ,my wife. I didnt want to insult you, I just forgot.Thank you for the gesture, very kind.
And a BIG thanks to Ocean Blue. You were kind enough to have the event around my needs and we very much appreciate that .
I may be wrong but ,, I got the impression that she didnt get a whole lot of thanks for being the one to get the T.A. meetings going .
I have a thank you to send . Where do I send it?
We all owe Ocean Blue a Thank you. Hi Ho. id. painter

Re: Thanks , Salty Dogs
No thanks required. It's really not that big a deal to set up a meeting. The hard part is trying to please everyone. Rod found the location and it has made things really easy. Finding a venue for a crowd like this is not for the faint of heart.
I'm so glad you and your family could make it ID - I'm sorry we didn't have more time to visit, too. The downside to having such a large crowd is that it's hard to spend quality time with everyone. :depressed: The upside is that you get to put many faces with many names...
South Paw - You left before I got a parting shot
Everyone - Hopefully the holidays will keep you all too busy to fret over the great distance between us and the TUNA! Hope to see y'all at the Ifish Toy Drive/holiday roll call.
