Default Waldport Crabbing

Never done it before.

Where are the best spots? Where should a person NOT take their boat?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Default Re: Waldport Crabbing

Phil,
We always crab on the North side of bay by the bridge. Helps to have a depth finder on board. You need to watch the tides if you venture out toward the spit. We have always had good luck in the area aligned up with the sand (spit) north side of inlet, then back into the bay from there. Never have gone beyond the into the throat of the jaws. Always did pretty good back by and upriver of the bridge North side and in that area mentioned above. Just watch your depth. The public dock at Waldport is great and should have some locals there crabbing that will give you precise info. Enjoy. One of the favorite spots for my family to crab.
