Not sure what you mean ... all the sebastius (sp) group closed for commercial
at the beginning of the month. Ling Cod closes on the 31st (Friday). There are
only a very few "near shore" rockfish permits and I'm not sure when those guys'
season is closed. For the rest of us with "open access" permits, the blacks and
blues closed on 10/01 because the quota for the year had reached 75%(?) of the
yearly quota for the entire fleet.

When I think cod I think blackcod (sablefish), grey cod (true cod) and tomcod.

hey mark,

went down to brookings to fish for a few days. what a waste of time. the bite was on naturally the day before we got there. water temp cooled down to 48 degrees and very clear water. oh well it was fun trying. only caught 3 fish for 3 days fishing.

time to re-winterize the boat :smile:

Are you going back to the truck or will you be down next weekend?
Theresa and I stopped by on Saturday, but nobody was home. I didn't
get by on Sunday ... guess I shouda tried?
