Default Tuna Cult

Cramped into my seat on a Northwest Airline flight today I came across an article about canned tuna in the inflight magazine..." Tuna's Turnaround ". The author states there is a whole tuna cult going on in Europe and it's just starting in the U.S. He says the amazing tuna breaks down into three gourmet types:

Ventresca Tuna... the Ferrari of canned tuna...comes from the Italian word ventre, which means " belly ". Combination of creaminess and deep buttery flavor, from Italy and Spain.

Tuna in Olive oil in the second kind and a European staple and #3 Tuna in its own juices is the newcomer and comes from OR, WA and CA.

Duh.

As always it starts in Oregon and somebody somewhere else claims the idea.

I'm surprised they haven't started using it as conditioner in their hair or maybe as aftershave.
Hmmmmmmm....... Perhaps my TUNA! collar hats HAVE become all the rage in Paris?!

Of course, if you go back and dig out your old Steve Martin, Wild and Crazy Guy record (yes, I say record, for the young members, go ask your parents what these are) you'll find that he has been using TUNA! sandwiches for years as a female attractor. He says (use your best wild and crazy guy accent here) "one a under each a arma, and I don't smell like a ANY OTHER GUY"!!!

Hmmmmm, I wonder if anyone is going to remember that????

Does this mean we'll start having TA meetings at Cultus Lake?

And $30 a can for tuna bellies doesn't seem so bad. I figure mine are costing about $200 a can.
