Re: kutch archery shoot
I'm out for a while- goose ends the first of march- going to get new strings and probably a new sight on my bow. Shooting indoors at about ten yards right now- sure would be nice to get outside and shoot at some foam critters- can't wait to get back to that!

Re: kutch archery shoot
Had to look up what "Kutch" means I see it's a shop in Yamhill. Are you guys shooting 3D targets? I'm pretty new to all this, and have only been shooting my Bowtech for a couple of months, mostly within 30yards (Backyard). Guessing I probably need more practice, as I'm barely on a paper plate at that yardage.

You will probably want to stay away from some of the targets then. I think there are about 4 targets were you have a SMALL opening to shoot from. I have lost a few arrows on those targets!! The shortest shot is about 20 yards and the longest is 100 if i remember right. Also a lot of elevation changes also.
I might be able to make the shoot.

Re: kutch archery shoot
Sliverslinger,
If there is still water for me to hunt on at my friends place count me out, but if there is no water I think it would be a bunch of fun. The earlier the better for me so I can be home at a descent time and spend some quality time with my up and coming little ducky hunter.
Is the 18th a Sauvies shoot day?

Just a thought...
I you've got that many, you guys might want to break into 2 goups. I think we did 7 or 8 the 1st time we all shot together @ Kutch's, and it took us the better part of the day to finish!! With 12, you'd have to bust out the headlamps

Raining Kings: You will be just fine. Sometimes the best thing is to just come out and jump in head first! You are totally welcome and we'd love to have you. It's not intimidating at all. Many of us are beginners to this and everyone has always been made to feel welcome. Many of us choose to pass on certain targets and that's totally OK, it's also OK to take the shots- better to try it here and learn than on a real critter. I probably won;t make this one, but I'll be out there real soon, too. Go have some fun.

Crap, I'm outta town that weekend, but will be keeping a look out for the next one, as it sounds like a good time. I'll have to get some extra arrows for that 43 yard steel bear though!

You dont have to shoot at the bear, there is a deer target just to the left of it at about 45-47 yrds.
