Default Silma O/U

I bought a silma o/u 12 gauge about 2 years ago and the guy at the store said that the action will be stiff at first but loosen up after a couple hundred rounds. I realize this is a very low end O/U but for $600 I guess I expected more out of it. The actions so stiff that my girlfriend has to put it over her knee just to unload the shells. Is there anything I can do to loosen up the action or do I need a new shotgun?

I DO NOT recommend ever using WD-40 on any gun. It will thicken and gel over time. I gummed-up a M1 Carbine with WD-40 and had to strip and entirely clean it and re-lube.

Problem might be in spring.

I've used CLP on it and some other kind of oil that I can't remember and it's still stiff. I'm not sure whatt to do.

Not sure if it's recommended on an O/U...in fact, maybe taboo...but I've used JB Bore Paste on rough bolt actions to smooth them out. Apply a liberal amount and open/close over and over. It's a very mild abrasive (do a search or look at the Midway or Brownell's website for info and instructions...available at Sportsmans, etc.). Then clean thoroughly and lube with Gunslick -- an amazing, long lasting lube.
