Default CAPT KUJO listened: What about this??? (pic)

Thank you all for responding! There is alot of fluff in the prior logo, just confirmed by you all.
So Before I go to work on another picture, I'm accepting commnets on the picture here for development. Let me tell you this ride dropped my stomach right out from under me  .
Picture taken from BALCK TORNADO 10 foot Swells just out of the Newport bay Bar. During initial testing evolution:

Once again input welcomed

Capt, I did not respond to the first logo inquiry, but based on the above response by you, there seemed to be a bit too much detail or something like that. I think your above picture is great, and if you could come up with a simple line drawing representing that, I think you will have it.
BTW, fun reading your stuff, you add a bit of spice to all of our lives.

It's probably just me, an old fuddy, but that might make me think awesome, but not want to go.
I saw somewhere an in-between shot of the rocket skipping across the waves...it needs to have some fishing rods at attention or something, too...
But again, maybe it's just me...

Just make sure when the dive gear is in the boat it is all strapped down tight. Nothing like the tanks and weight belts becoming airborne and then landing on various body parts. DUHHO! won't do that again

As for it being too extreme, No...I'd be pretty ticked if I saw this passive looking boat in an advertisement, then soiled a new pair of BVDs before we even got to fish.

Keep heading in the direction your in and it will be good.

KUJO,
Perhaps you could have a picture of the Black Rocket trolling at 10knots with me standing in the splash well doing my "excerist impersonation" (ie; green bile).
But seriously though.....
I like what you're doing here and it's good to get input from others in the know. I think it's just a matter of the message you want to send to potential clients and finding the picture to fit that.
If a picture says a thousand words, then.... What does ten pictures say? Just be sure to leave out the pics of the "Fro" and the missing shoe. But then again, that just might be what does it for some. What is your target audience? Ask yourself that one.
Remember. Word of mouth advertising is the most effective. Maybe you could have a section on your web site with personal testamony or a list of people in their area that have gone out with you. Perspective clients could call them and see what's up.
As for my sea-sickness... I think I finally have a handle on that, so long as I can stay away from cigarette smoke while at sea.
Keep me in mind for the short list we talked about...

Hmmm... I sure like the idea of having a boat you don't have to pull out of the water to clean and paint the bottom on! Gotta be pretty quick with the brushes between those swell/jumps though!

For your consideration...

The light of a full moon silhouettes the boat, waves, spray, etc. The rocket is attacking the seas - Agressively and Fearlessly..

(Moon is in upper right corner of photo, its light reflecting off the water).

Yeh, BABY!! That's kinda, sorta, just like MY boat ... except mine is a little
longer, has a little bigger engines, has a mast and outrigger poles and is set
up for commercial fishing.

... And before you ask, NO, I don't run my boat that hard! I intend to keep not only
the engines and hull integrity sound by running it a little easier, but I also plan on
taking it a little easier on my old body than that!!

-assAssin- (pictures of my boat in link below)

Can't touch the first photo, KJ. And good point about fiberglass reinforced plastic boats and repeated stress.

If you have trouble with hop and you haven't tried trim tabs on your fiberglass boat you should go buy some this winter. It makes your boat behave like it should. Back in the day, we ran to TUNA! town with an interesting ride on sharp peaked swells. Even got some air now and then.

If you load the front of the boat as I did here with a spare fuel tank and catch the right wave you get air. This happened more than I liked it to until we burned the fuel in the forward tank.

Trim tabs cure this problem completly. No top either!!, we were crazy back then. Ah the bad old days before Salty dogs on VHF channel 78 with radio fish and before the ever present wingman.

Don't tell the offshore racers that their tupperware boats can't take the stress! They might all freek out and take up fishing  (or golf  ).

You can buy off the lot versions that do over 100 mph. Not an Aluminum hull in the line up!

There's good tupperware and bad tupperware. There's good beer cans and bad beer cans. I personally know more people with cracked/leaky alum boats than the former(screw holes somebody put in the bottom don't count ).

Mr Fisherman... that is a very keen eye you have there.

That is the Stabi-Craft 559... the newest addition to the Stabi-Craft fleet of rugged, aluminum blue water boats.

There are 5 guys on that boat and afterward when I showed them that picture... they were all in disbelief.

The landing was so soft and dry... they just could not believe they had caught such big air.

We'll be back at the PDX boat show this year... with several models.

Grab Drifty and come by for a closer look!!

Cheers!!
