Default Opinion Requested from Salty Dogs on logo

Hey all you Salty Dogs. I'm designing a logo for the BLACK ROCKET. And would like the opinion from all you Salty Dogs that care to give me one. I like it. What do you think?

Your comments are welcomed. CAPT KUJO

Kim,
While I've yet to ride 'the rocket', I've followed the many threads on this board, and have derived a picture in my mind...here's my opinion.
The graphics are good. Very clean. Boat looks great. However, as I was waiting for it to open (on my measly 56k hookup), I was anticipating something more exciting.

I'd add some passengers (bug eyes and smiles from ear to ear), and about 5 feet of air under the boat, coming off a backside of a nice breaker.

Next, add some 'streamers' of spray off the sharp angles, so it looks like your going way fast.

I'd trim the motors down too, they just look cooler trimmed down.

The rooster tail looks great, it just looks passive...not extreme.

If your selling extreme, you should promote extreme. The last thing I'd think you'd want is someone saying "I didn't realize it was going to be like that!".

You might throw in an orange heli in the background, just to reassure the folks that are borderline.

I've never been in the Coast Guard Maritime Museum in Astoria, but that rescue boat launching over a wave at a 50º angle really captures my attention. The image of the Black Rocket in the new logo doesn't hint at the speed or capabilities of the craft. I say "Play the Ace!" Launch the rocket and capture imaginations!

CK... agree with most of comments... design looks too tame compared to your trips as discussed by those who've gone with you. Make the design SCREEM extreme.

KJ,

I have been on the water when we saw you comming from miles away. Major white spray twenty feet in the air as the BLACK ROCKET and her crew blazed across the tops of the waves.

Your boat never drafted as low in the water as in the pic when under power.

I think some more radical action shot, maybe like the boat comming off the back side of a large swell with lots of spray.

Let'm know just what they are signing up for. The ******** fastest charter boat around.

Peace, Tom

Capt Kujo, Don't really care for the logo much. Like others say it is a bit tame for what you advertise. I feel like I am looking at something from Bay Watch without Pam Anderson.

The black rocket blasting out of the hole of Depot Bay over some wave action would be cool. and yes the boat needs to show speed and 10' roosters spraying out the back side of it.

Currently the picture is to muddy and lacks contrast. The Rocket needs more definition and less of a stealthy look if you know what I mean. A good start now refine it a bit.
