Good for you! We look forward to meeting Mrs. IDP as well. Is she shopping for anything in particular? Perhaps we could give her some pointers (let's see... there's no Englund's in Portland, but there's West Marine and Fisherman's in Delta Park and....)

I'm planning on making it to the one on the 7th. I still say we need to hold one on the coast here too...Depoe Bay for instance.

If you plan it, they will come  I only plan them here, because I'm here. I know Mark Mc and Popeye were planning one in the valley, but then we got all excited about Salmon and decided to have it in Newport. But then the weather was bad and it got cancelled. But then everyone wanted to go anyway and we had a huge turnout at the Rogue brewpub.

So plan one for the valley dogs! I'm sure they're tired of driving all the way up here. Besides, you'll probably get some of us northern folk to come on down! Particularly if they miss a meeting here.

My wife is a sharp gal and anything with Marine or Sportsmans in the name is going to be a sure give away. Are there any good fish shops with a name like Hattingtons ,,,or Design Gallery. Hi Ho. id.painter

id- Take her on over to Seaside. They have a nice big Factory Outlet Mall there. Should take her at least a couple hours to go through it.

That's just enough time to get to Astoria, spend an hour at Englunds and get back.

PS- An hour at Englunds only cost ya 'bout $500 if ya shop careful!

Oh ya- then you can have lunch at the beach!

Mel's plan is very sound. I like it! I will be trying that one on my wife very soon I suspect. Before Christmas if you hear what I'm saying.
