Springer Report St. Helens Area.
I spent five hrs. this am. drowninga kfish in the St. Helens. area. It was a great day to be out and that's about all I can say about my fishing adventure. I never saw a net go up. The water color was a light brown where I was anchored . The fish and game dept. came by and they mentioned that they had not checked in any fish. That was about noon.

ZaQ I think it would be interesting to see what would happen with the Carrot Milk against some of the scents that I've concocted in the years past. You up for fishing someday?

I heard on the radio that he got a record deal and a check for $25,000. I think I could look silly for 25 Gs.

Re: Springer Report St. Helens Area.
No not trying to make competition out of it... That wouldn't be fair. Just see some guys my age that look like they know what they're doing and would be fun to meet up with some new people... You tell me ZaQ, you interested?
KF, you crack me up just cause you got in the boat and seen 8 nookies boated in a hour when no one else knew they were around... Yes, KF no matter what they say I know you can catch fish....

Caught my earliest springer beach fishing yesterday. It was a native small guy estimated weight was 18lbs. I did see a 24lb hatchery fish caught about 45 minutes before mine. There comming.

Re: Springer Report St. Helens Area.
Hey Chris I'd fish with you too... I just want to get out with the Carrot Milk Clan, I guess begging is the answer. Besides I'm sure you all could teach me something...
I just like catching fish with people that know how.. No matter if they use amino gel or not...

Re: Springer Report St. Helens Area.
Wow... Guides?? Not trying to grow ya a big head, and certainly don't need any coaching and don't mean to come across as a begger. I just figured since I was at the age of 28 and have landed 1500+ steelhead in my life and again that many chinook personally I could perhaps hang with the Clan... It's ok though. I've fished around a few of ya but never formally introduced myself.
I can keep doing what I do without the Carrot Clan. If we're a bit too proud that's cool. We'll have a run in one day and meet each other, we both spend enough time on the river.. Perhaps if I invited the clan out in my sled they'd jump at the opportunity?? What if I gauranteed 6+ steelhead in a day right now and likely a 20+er?? Then maybe you'd consider? Heck we've boated 2 over the 20 mark this year already in 7 trips along with a 19, 18 and a 16 since the beginning of the year...

ZaQ,
Not killing them, but seems to be a good year. It's nice to see the natives coming back so well. The last few years have been good. Do you know a kid by the name of Justin McCullough??
