hows is it? is the lakes frozen or anything?
would it be worth going out tomarrow?

I was out yesterday with 2 buddies. there was some snow on the ground where the sun couldn't get to it. I saw one pond that did still have slush in it. Johnson was clear and I bet most of the big ponds were clear, but I don't know.

Water level is coming up pretty good though, I bet Sturgeon raised 1 foot while hunting yesterday.

If I could get out I would. It should be fairly cold tomorrow, right about freezing in the am.

I was out with a friend on Hunt Unit.

While they told us at the Check Station the lake there was still Iced In,

first thing I did when getting there was to go down to the water's edge in the dark and check to see how we were going to proceed.

It WASN'T, pretty much water everywhere (although later, we did find ice over on the lee shore, the wind had blown it there).

All the shooting areas were pretty much ice free, except for some sheets floating out near the center.

Westside still has a lot of ice!!
Eastside should be pretty good, although the birds have cleared out a lot of the corn.
