These maps are ok, but the scale is kinda big, making them good only for huge drop offs or canyons. They are also not that accurate at a fine scale and everywhere is labeled "good" or "excellent" fishing. That said, they are better than nothing, which is about the only other thing available. Most of the fishing areas have plenty of friendly gringos to help you out until you get the spots locked in on your gps.

I agree with fishmstr. I used them when in Baja this summer. Also use this link to look at some of the maps that the Baja Catch has in it (follow link at bottom of page) http://www.bajadestinations.com/

Question. Is the Garmin Blue chart any better for this area? Are there any charts like the NOOAA charts for the Sea of Cortez??

I've got the Nobeltec Charts for MX loaded on my onboard computer w/3D Bathy....They're very detailed

Next time I'm over in Newport I'll look you up Popeye, but I think the 3-D stuff is out of my price range at this time.
