Default New Years Eve and Day hunts (Black and Green)

Our final day of goose hunting for 2008 was a big success with both groups shooting limits of geese with some great decoying and the arrival of a few honkers. The weather was fairly mild with overcast sky's and some wind, geese started moving early and we were able to get our birds in time for breakfast.

To bring in the new year we went to a field that both ducks and geese were using and we started off the new year with a bang!! The mallards were thick and though the geese were a little bit tougher today we still managed a few. We had quite a bit of rain in the morning followed by a stiff W-SW wind and thick cloud cover. Hope everyone has a happy new year and the rest of the season is great. Good luck and be safe.
