Good news - and welcome back!
This must mean you're going to be a fish-killing machine when we all head to Baja next spring, eh?
Remember to take it easy, okay?

Yeah--everybody is happy but me. Brad told me I could have his boat if he died of complications from surgery
I'd tell you welcome back Bradley--but, as your part time physical therapist and recreation director I'll just tell you to take it easy instead!

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Glad the surgery went well UG. Some advice from someone who'd 'been there, done that', ease into things. How you take care of your back now will likely play a huge role in how it takes care of you later.
Keep telling yourself "I'm not a bum, I just feel like one".

Brad...Welcome Back (Pun Intended)
What would you like me to do with your tote? For right now it's fine settin' where it's at, unless you'd like me to deliver it somewhere. I've got a bad back too, so I'd just as soon not wrestle it
And again, Thanks Very Much for the use of it! When we goina pick a date for Z-Town

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Good to hear all is well with your back. I tried to lift too much, too soon, after my back surgery. I ended up having to go for another. All has been great for two years now. I don't even notice it. However, I don't recommend doing it twice. Take lots of long walks to strengthen the supportive muscles. Long walks are good, except when you are offshore in your boat.

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Hey Ug - Just imagine blue skies, a smooth ocean, and tuna jumping. You will get better a lot sooner. Glad to hear everything went well and you are on the mend. Do what your spiritual advisor WildHawg says follow the doctor's orders.
Hope to see you on the water.

You're going to have to get back after them. I missed the usual pictures you were posting of your salt water adventures.
Glad you're back on the board and done with that nasty stuff.

From a guy who loads Northwest Airlines aircraft on his knees in the bellies with a blown out L4-L5 disc.... it's good to hear of a successful surgery! Heard of too many that didn't turn out as well.
Good luck on your continued recovery!

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Great news Brad. I had the same surgery about a year ago. Just a little advice from some who's been there.... As soon as your doc allows, start exercising. Anything you can handle, walking swimming, whatever. Those post surgery pounds are a bear if you don't start early.

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Thanks for all the replies, kind thoughts, and words. Ive been taking it easy... getting some excercise and even doing a little fishing. Doc said things were looking good at the 30 day mark. Physical therepy for the next two months and he might even let me row a drift boat around the middle of December. We will see.
Popeye... if the tote is fine where it is at, lets let it stay there for a bit. I definatly want it back sooner or later, once things calm down a bit ill come get it from ya.
Zihuatanejo.... Ill start a seperate thread.

Re: Im back--- with an new back!
Glad to hear all went well Brad.
I'm seriously considering the Ziwat trip. It's just hard for a tightwad to spend all that coin when there is so many fish to be had right here.
When everyone starts spilling over with excitement I doubt I'll be able to hold back and will have to crawl off my wallet. :depressed:
