Default Kids\' view of their fishing parents

My son thinks the attachable smiley faces are pretty cool, so I thought I would let him post a message. So why don't we see what the kids out there have to say ABOUT THEIR PARENTS HABIT OF FISHING??? (No influence allowed )
I now turn the controls over to my 9yr old son.

I really like it because I get to spend more time with my MOMMEY . And sometimes I don't like it because I have to go and freeze my butt off !

I dont just think that he's fishing... more like chillin with the budd's he's a cool dad even though he has a slight obsession with Tuna Fishing.

Anna - I can assure you that your dad isn't "chillin' with the budds" He works his fanny off when he's fishin'! Never saw anyone work so hard to have fun (except maybe Pilar)

Take care of your arm Anna!

I am a kid of 49, when i was 9 my parents owned a house at Rockaway Oregon, we spent all of our free time at the beach house. Two of my dads friends owned houses nearby and we all fished together for nearly 10 years. My heros were fishermen, black coffee drinking rugid men, who swore and laughed loudly, who treated me, a kid of 9 as a equal in the boat (mostly because i outfished them). They never tired of chasing salmon and i never tired of watching them. While other kids were sleeping in, or playing on the beach I was busy making memories and becoming a man. My view of dads fishing is a glorious one... Thanks dad. gary fetters

Hey, this is "Reel Creel"'s daughter Rachel. I just turned 12. My dad loves to fish!!! Some times I worry Some times its great to have a fishin' dad (so I get the fish  ) Some times he brings home some salmon or tuna or both. On Sundays and Mondays, you know where he will be! Some times he smokes the fish and its really good! Some times we go to Washington and go crabbing. it is so fun!! We eat so much crab, we get sick of too many crab! Some times I wonder if I have a dad , and some times my mom wonders if she has a husband  . Some times she gets mad because all he wants to do is fish. But I still love him! (so does my mom)
see ya later,Rachel

ps i really like these icon thingies. Cant you tell?

I was interested in what my 6th grade son would say.
He was doing homework and i handed him a piece of paper and said write about me and fishing . What you think.
"My dad has always loved fishing. My dad and I had a blast in Canada. My dads love of fishing has rubbed off on me.My dad learned to fish from his dad. I love fishing as much as my dad."
Victory, That was good to hear. id. painter

Here are my two daughters and their opinions of their wonderful dad's fishing habit...

Hi! I am Julie Anne Dixon and I am 8 years old. My dad fishs often and I am used to him fishing "all" the time. But sometimes when he fishes, it seems kind of boring just holding the fishing pole, but I still like fishing with him. Think of those fish that he catches, think about all those dinners with fish

Hi! My name is Michelle Dixon. I'm 10 years old.
I don't really like it when we all have to go to the coast or ocean and fish the whole day and come and sleep in a lumpy car. But it is fun to go to a little pond and fish, because when you aren't fishing, you can catch newts in the net.
