How do I ?
I have never put in for a party hunt. Beings I have 2 preference points, I was thinking about setting up a party hunt application for a antlerless deer hunt for my family. Do I put my name first on the card? Does it matter?

Re: How do I ?
If i'm thinking correctly, you need to use your hunting lisence number as the party leader. As far as the preference points go, if you have 2 preference points and you have a total of 4 people in your party then those 4 points get divided between the 4 of you, so you each would have 1/2 point. I think that is how they do the points for a party. I could be wrong but i'm sure that some other guys will chime in and will either confirm that or will let me know that i'm crazy.

Re: How do I ?
Half of a point rounds down so that would leave you and your party with zero
Assuming, of course, you had four in the party and nobody else had any points to add to pool.

Do you know something we don't know? Please enlighten us
Straight from the regs. You can look them up yourself if you don't trust my ability to copy and paste
■
Party applicant points shall be
determined by totaling preference
points of all party members and then
calculating the average of this total.
Average party preference points will be
rounded up from .51 and rounded down
from .50 to the next whole number
(example: 3.51 to 4; 3.50 to 3).

Re: How do I ?
How many people does there need to be in a party? Just 2 or does it have to be more?

Re: How do I ?
I would think 2 would be ok. I don't know if there is a maximum but i think that there would be. This is all from memory, i don't happen to have a book in front of me.

Re: How do I ?
Minimum of 2 or you are just applying as a single, maximum of 18 for deer and elk, 2 for antelope and 6 for bear.
