Herring this weekend

I'm thinking of going down to watch the 26 foot swells pound Depoe, and figured if I'm there I might as well try for some herring at Newport. Would this storm push them in or keep them from coming in?

Where you planning on sitting, relative to the swells?

I'd be going to Newport after checking out the wall at Depoe, and sitting any way I'd need to.

greg. i have caught herring in that bay by the green can every time i have been there. good luck
