Mark/Marty - Checked on your boats today

With the beeg swell comes a beeg surge in Dopey Bay and one charter boat had one of his mooring line snap.

I went down and checked on Mark (Fish Asassin) and Marty's boats this morning.

Mark, yours appeared to need to be cinched up a bit as it was swinging to and fro the dock a bit so I got Loren (Affair) to take a look and he agreed. We cinched it up a bit and also retied the small spring line under the other line instead of over it where it was rubbing back and forth.

Marty, I guess your boat sunk because it wasn't there. Actually I guess it must have floated out to sea with the tide because I didn't see your out riggers sticking out of the water. :grin:

Anyway, if it gives you a piece of mind Mark, your boat is groovin'

Oh Nancy, I went down and looked at yous too and it was high & dry!
I wasn't as concerned with yours as much though as you are a local yokal and probably were aroud to check. But I did check it. :smile:

hehehe, no problem. Thanks Dan. Actually been busy busy working this past couple of days and not had a chance to go check out the boat. Probably won't till the weekend.

Thanks for thinking about my boat.......but it is high and dry in the shop waiting patiently for a tuna trip. I was afraid to tell her it may be a long wait.

Hey Dan,

Another BIG swell day yesterday. One of the guys from PC said he stopped in
at Depoe Bay on his way back from Newport at high tide and was watching the
surge go clear up into the parking lot by the boat ramp! Wahoo! If you
just happen to get a chance, would you walk down and take a peek to make
sure that both the Mistress and Bounty Hunter are still all right? I added
extra lines and bumpers on my boat on Saturday, but the Bounty Hunter was tied
with some pretty small lines and only had two bumpers.

FA - Gary, the Harbor Master was hanging around making the rounds on all the docks/boats yesterday morning during the peak of the surge and fixing/replacing any worn dock lines....I'm sure yours fared fine, just for peace of mind. :smile:
