Default Swordfish Squid

Those pictures of the squid got my attention. They are huge! I am curious if you think they taste as good as the little ones? Do you think these Humboldt Squid are the ones they make the tenderized calamari steaks from. I love those on the grill or skillet.I have been inked by the little ones and nipped by their beaks. I am not sure I want to wrestle those big ones on my boat and try to get the ink cleaned off the boat. My boat is not as shiny as Popeyes and wouldn't clean up as easily.

Default Re: Swordfish Squid

The large ones were great eating! I found that when frying them it was best to cut them into really thin strips because the "steak" is so thick. I've never tried them grilled but that sounds like an excellent way to do it.

Wish it wasn't too late to go catch some more. :depressed:
