Team Cast and Blast Triumphs!
What a great day with a great couple of guys! I spent the day on the Willie and CR with Boatdog and Skahorse. We started out targeting springers - no luck. The water conditions just were not there - neither were the fish aparently. So, we changed tactics and gear and went after gators.
The first and only spot we fished was very productive. I'd say we caught 30 to 40 fish total. Skahorse caught his first gators ever! Congrats Skahorse! Unfortunately, he was spoiled today and got his first keeper too - a 45-incher! Boatdog followed suit with a 47-incher. Me? Well, let's just say it was a shaker day for the ORS.
Here's the pictorial:
First, I think we were wearing lucky shirts. We finished the TCAB T-shirts late last night. Here's Skahorse wearing his:
Here's Skahorse with his first gator ever! A little shy of the minimum 42", but he was happy.
More often than not, we were battling doubles.
Here's Skahorse with his first keeper! A nice 45" gator.
Here's Boatdog with his 47-incher. He was really pleased with that one.
What's missing from this post? A keeper for me. Oh, well. A great time anyway.
All in all a great day! Thanks guys! I guess we have lucky shirts now, huh?

Re: Team Cast and Blast Triumphs!
I have a new addiction! Thanks for the great time gentlemen! It was a blast!
SC,
I think you're just a little jealous...  Rumor was, it was Kerry's loaner pole that was keeping you from catching any fish during the Sturg Challenge. I beg to differ! It worked fine for me
Thanks again guys for the new addiction!
P.S. My wife is really thanking you! I told her I need a new boat
