Lepper, you knucklehead. I saw you on the river today. Those are Crawdads!

Ok, serious now...did you go out of Charleston or was this out at your Bandon haunt?

Kick my butt I had a shrimp pot and abandoned it when I moved cuz I figgered I'd never need it here.

Seek them and let me know what you find

You better be on a diet if you're going to eat 1 1/2 to 2 inch shrimp! How do they peel those salad shrimp anyway. It would take me a year to make a salad!
Now when you find an area with Spot Prawns within "day reach" and reasonable water depth, send me a note. Don't tell anyone else OK?

hey mellow, how did you do on the river? we got one in the first 30 seconds of fishing.. Then we had some motor trouble that turned out to be bad battery syndrome.... after we got that fixed the bar was smooth and the ocean flat as a pancake so we went fishing in the big blue..
um.. any one know where a guy can buy a shrimp pot that isn't expensive to give it a whirl?? it would be worth it just to get a small taste of some FRESH shrimp..

You won't be able to keep small salad size shrimp in any sport pot made. Since you have no gear restrictions, you might try getting some small mesh netting like what is used on smelt nets (try Jann's Net Craft) and converting a commercial crab ring. Strap a bait holder into the middle of that and drop it down. Let it sit 10 minutes or so and then pull like the dickens! Don't slow down or stop, as those buggers will escape.

Just a thought.
