Sort of. 2" of slush, 1" of ice (at least).

Tuesday might be the day depending on where your res. is.

Dogs were running around on top of the ice. Not quite enough to keep a stout fellow up, maybe one of the younger, skinny bucks.

Neither side shot very well. I'd look for someplace else with open water.

I have a young friend who went out to the Westside with some of his buddies.

They had a "fair" draw, but not good enough to snag them a "primo" site.

They ventured waaay out, onto what's typically a pass shooting only unit.

For whatever reason, where they were was "loaded" with Ducks, all Mallards that accomodated them nicely and they came back just a couple of birds shy of 3 limits of all Mallards!

I can't say (and don't particularly believe) that that's going to be a normal reoccuring event out there, so don't get your hopes up.

Just one of those flukey things that occasionally happens out on the WMA.

He said, "We could hear the shooting from Mud Lake, and we were doing a whole lot BETTER!"

Guess it's nice to "hit it" even when you're not expecting to?
