Default time to hit the road

well fishing is over for me this year. starting a new job with a trucking company on saturday. most of you don't have a clue who i am, probably because i haven't made more than what, 2 posts since i've joined ifish, my bad. oh well it's been interesting to say the least hearing about everyone's stories and especially the swordfishing trip (think a dory could make it out there),yea right". i'm flying out of portland on saturday morning for dallas,tx. be gone about a month and then home for a few days. i'll be running the 48 states and canada working for stevens transport (i hope i'm making the right choice). winterized the boat yesterday and put it in the barn, boy that was hard to do.

hey corrirod, if you make it down south this year be sure and let us know how the fishing is. do you have lift straps for your boat for the port orford season. if not you might want to check into it. i know a few guys from p.c. will be down there later this fall. you could probably run with them.

we'll got to go and do some errands and start packing.

talk at you all later and good fishing

Thanks for the heads up and congrats on the new job! I too am having to go back to work and I'm afraid I'm probably done for the year also. :depressed:

If you, or somebody you know, would like to do the longline halibut thing next spring let me know. I've got all the gear but need somebody to show me how to use it! I've probably got enough gear for a couple dorys.

Good luck in TX and stay in touch.

Infinity,

Stop by the house at PC when you get back. We'll hammer down a few cold ones
and talk about the "good old days".
