Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Ok- seems to be a lot of interest so lets dedicate a thread.
Right now the plan is for Miss B Haven and Minaki (Kamloops) and crews to leave Warrenton dock at at OMG 3 am  , be at the bar at slack current (4 am), back across the bar NLT 1600. (Slack current in the afternoon).
Sounds like edsr might run with us, and Sherrie Marie. There's a ton of open slips in Warrenton right now (Proly in Hammond too) if anybody wants to launch Friday and stay on their boat or ?
Whos in?
My cell is 503 869-0890. I'll be at the boat al day Friday and off the board so call if you want to link up and run.

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
PS- crew on Miss B is:
Small Fry (unless I scared him off)
Lucky Lucy (that Luke in his Red Dress - hehe)
Pete (in his Purple People Eater coat?)
Not sure about sleeping arrangements, Miss B is full up (unless Lucy gets cozy  ). Tom- how many you got bunking on the boat?

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Mel - I am trying to put a crew together for Sat.
Anyone want to go tuna fishng? Early start! We split expenses.
Earlier this year several ifishers expressed an interest in a trip and when my server crashed so did most of the information - so - my apologies to any of you who asked to go that I haven't sent emails to or called for first dibs on a trip.

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
The local commercial boys are saying that the tuna are not biting very good most of the time. But you should be able to get a few in the right spot. Also there is a seiner from California that has a high seas seine permit that goes out once a week and puts 30-40 ton per day in the boat . Not trying to be negative or nothing, just some local heads up. I sure had some good fishing this year straight out. Good going to you on your tuna trip...........Bobber Down

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Wait a minute- I thought they couldn't seine the Tuners any more.
Thanks for the report Bobber! Why don't you swing by the dock tonight or tomorrow. I'd like to meet ya! Might have a seat for ya too if you want. Warrenton Marina- West ramp, clear to the end of the main walk, turn left, third boat on the right on the outside. I'm bow in right beside Lady Dee. Names on the side of the fly bridge.

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Bernie may be a no show for me.
SOOOO, I have Gary Smith, Lee and James so far.
Don't count Bernie out yet, he may go if he has to. Troy says Dean may run with us out of Hammond. Mel, my cell # does not work for him.
Hoggenin?
Don't know about the Motel Minaki?????
I understand the newely remodeled Hotel Elliot is pretty nice. my nightshift manager Lee may get kind of grumpy at the Motel M.if he gets awoken too early.

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Miss B I'll try to meet up with you tonight, if I get done with my project boat (27' Orca). I'm helping a friend tinker with it (It's fun to spend someone else's money). Will you be around tommorow during the day if I don't make it down tonight?...............Bobber Down

Tom, I'm in. About the view thingy. As long as I don't have to look at Mel I should be able to keep breakfast down.

Re: Sat CR Tuna- Roll Call
Does anyone have an idea as to how far out the tuna are, off the CR Bouy? The last trip I made, about 2 weeks ago, was 43 miles. I assume they didn't move in any closer? Any ideas?
