My first buck!
Going through some old photo's yesterday and found a picture of me and my first deer. I shot this buck on about the third or fourth morning of the season when I was 12 yrs. old. (32 years ago). I kept complaining to my dad that I needed a scope because all the deer were so far away. He told me if I got a deer with the 30-30 I was packing around he'd buy me a rifle with a scope. That Christmas I received a new Weatherby Vanguard in 30-06 with a new Leupold 3x9 on it. I still have that rifle and it's still in beautiful shape.
Just thought I'd share a memory with you all. Merry Christmas!

Re: My first buck!
Nice start.
You certainly don't see those rear window gun racks very often these days.

You haven't changed much, maybe a little less of a topknot like the rest of us!

Re: My first buck!
Great looking buck! That Chevy couldn't have been too old either, there's hardly a scratch in the tailgate.
Thanks for sharing, I always enjoy seeing pictures from when camera's went "Click"
