Re: Garibaldi reports?
Hey Mike, So your fishing mid week, again? Do you have any opening's over there? I haven't fished out of T-bay since the coho's closed. I've heard that it's best just outside for Chinook. You might want to hit the mouth of the Nehalem. Incoming tide until 12:53. A buddy fished Astoria yesterday. He said he marked 1000's of fish but didn't even hear of any biters. Good luck. HJ

Re: Garibaldi reports?
HJ, I had the same luck last week in Astoria, My son invited his buddy with us fresh home from the Mideast. I got them into a few silvers but it was work all day for them. Marked tons of fish, few biters. We threw the tackle box at them, hootchies, cut plug, whole herring, fresh herring, brined herring, coyotes etc. you name it we soaked it. Thanks for the tip on the nehalem entrance. The ocean is closed for crabbing right?

Re: Garibaldi reports?
Yes the ocean crabbing is closed, but both bays have been kicking out limits (if you can put up with the seaweed). It is an 8' incoming tide, so be careful where you put them out. Bring me a crab if you end up with an extra. Have fun. HJ

Re: Garibaldi reports?
Kenai , I fished off T-Bay today and found it very slow ... A bit of a bite at first light ..as the tide turned in ...a small bite at 10 ish . Talked to a guy who had been down there a week and a half and said the bite slowed tuesday. We did well there last wednesday. Water was real clear today , I could see my bait down almost 30 feet .. herring balls being pushed around by sea lions . Commercial boats in the area fished just off the green can and a bit north and south of the bar .. All the best of luck .. lets hope the bite is back soon !
