North River and my friends new boat.

As I mentioned earlier my friend bought a new N.R. seahawk 21ft.
He has been dealing with the owner Roy (?).
The treatment and service he has gotten has been outstanding. My friend has been very impressed with the operations at the plant and this is what he got.
21 ft. seahawk,with offshore bracket.
225hp 4 strk out board prop
15 hp 4 strk kicker,, Both Yamaha.
All remote controls for the kicker.
70 gal fuel tank.

Two bildge , two batteries
Trickel charger on the kicker.
Hard top
Wired for down riggers
live well and built in fish box.
the combo Lowrance unit. Fish finder/gps/
A.M./F.M. with C.D. player.
V.H.F. and compass.
What have i forgotten ?
Is there any thing you all see that i missed .
This was bought on my advice ,,,what else besides basic safe boating equipt. The boat is still in the shop and now is the time to have the boat tec. add more goodies. What else ??? id. painter

I.d.,

The one thing I don't see on the list is a Navman Fuel Flowmeter. For $150 you get the piece of mind of knowing exactly how much fuel is in the tank and how fast your burning it. It's a "must have" for ocean trips.

Congratulate your friend for me and send my condolences to his wife(as she's just lost her husband to a boat)! :tongue: :grin:

I knew you would keep me straight.
A fuel flow meter , good .
I didnt mention that the boat comes with a Fuel/water separator.
What else?
My friends wife thinks he has bought a family fun toy.... Ha Ha Ha, He He He.
My friend like to fish as much as me.
For the last year or so every time he called my house to talk , i was out sitting (working) on my boat . He always made jokes about my mistress.
Now Ill have the last laugh. Last night he mentioned that he can get storage within a block of his home . He is already feeling seperation anxiety. Hi Ho. id. painter.

Brians dad is Roy . Roy sold out a few years back to his son, but still likes to get involved with coustomers like my friend . Buying a boat with cash. id. painter.

Your friend did buy a family fun boat! Tuna fishing and ocean fishing IS fun for the whole family (even if they are over the side chumming, their face may be green but deep downthey have a smile :grin: ). Tell your friend congrats!

Ya, Rockn'reel.Family fun is what its all about.Until he gets hooked on the big Blue.
This friend is a life long buddy.
We played football together in high school.
He ended up married to my little sisters best friend.
I worked for his father during the summer months for 16 summers doing reforsetation work, through out the west.
For years Ive been trying to get him excited about the ocean and I finally won.
Im not sure who is most excited me or him.
Finally my best friend can join in and enjoy the salt. And, if there arnt any real obvious holes in the boat and equiptment he has ,,, then its time to start getting the fishing gear.
This is a whole bunch of fun.Rods, reels, downriggers, everything... Hi Ho... id. painter

ID Paint Your friend was able to get a hard top built :whazzup: I was told that would not do that anymore, but this was from the Clackamas store. I heard from a guy down at Hammond that I should deal with Brian alao on that.I always thought that MONEY talks :shocked:

Yes, I think the loud voice here is the one with the cash.
And yes , I did think about radar,, but i may wait to spring that one on him.
I think he is feeling a little "gut shot" right now ,, he rolled out some pretty good cash for the boat . Ill have to time that one just right.... HiHo. id. painter
