I have rattled them in, grunted them in, mouth grunted them in, and snorted them in. But I never had a thing respond to that primos can and I tried the can alot.

I have rattled in quiet a few blacktails with the Primos grunt. I usually start the 3rd week of October and no later than the first week of November. That seems to be the best times that work in my experience. Later on the rattling works much better than the grunting. I think grunting works best in the pre-rut phase.

I use Primos Can, Primos Buck Roar, and Deer Talk. Have gotten several blacktails over the years come in to those calls. Rattling antlers has worked well also.

I started using a call three years ago. I've called in and killed my buck the last two years. Calls work very well for me. Just not deer calls.

I actually had a doe coming in to "The Can" the other day. She hung up at about 90 yards though. She sounded mad too.

I have never had much luck with the Primos can. I have had very good luck with QuakerBoys version. They are kind of hard to find on the west coast. I got mine when I lived in New York. It has a slightly higher pitch and the blacktail seem to respond to it very well.

I have the primos eustrus can and saw a deer once using it. It was right before dark and I was sitting on a clearing next to a bunch of alders I knew they were hanging around in. I seen 2 come out, I think it was a buck chasing a doe. I then had another one in the alders circling by me. I think it was trying to get upwind. I never seen it peek its head out before dark. The rest of the season I got no responses with it.
