Default Arima Help

Just ran across an Arima 17' 1988 that has been sitting outside in a storage place for at least 3 years. It has a 90 Yam-a-hammer of about the same vintage hangin. The top is junk and lots of clean-up will be required. I think I can buy this for a song. Whats it worth and what sould I look for on this hull?

Arima's have great reputations. When you say "for a song" does that mean you could buy the boat cheap enough to hang a couple of new 4 strokes off her. Best of both worlds, solid boat with new power. New fully enclosed top should run you about a $1000.

Here is an additional resource.

Also, our beloved Skein is/was an Arima owner. I bet if you emailed him a question or two he would have some good info for you.

Happy Boat hunting,

Joe

4-Reel,

We owned a 15' Arima for about 15 years. It was the best boat we ever owned. It rides the water very well and NEVER had any trouble with the boat itself. Motors wore out but the boat stayed sound. We had it stored outside for years before we got a new shop. It always cleaned up and looked like new.

Other than Skein and my dog, it was the love of my life.

I encourage you to e-mail Skein. He can fill you in on details.
