Default Time for a TA meeting?

I need to discuss with Pilar, naturally, but what's October 3 look like for everybody? I know that some can't make it on Friday evenings, but it seems we have our best turn-outs that night. Not looking for a firm RSVP, just an idea.

Post it here.

Oh, ya... for those wanting Salty Dog apparel, we may have an opportunity to discuss/preview options that evening. Slow Roll? Can ya make it? DoryRod?

hmmmm, the next weekend would be preferable for me, as I have to work at noon saturday, and have a meeting at work friday....would mean coming up pretty much just for the TA meeting then having to drive back down here. The next weekend, I could stay in the area there at my moms for the weekend.

Yes indeed! I could certainly use a TA Meeting. Say when. Make it so. They will come.
The sacred TUNA! MO-JO! is at stake.
I'm good to go on the 3rd or the 10th.
Get on with your good foot!

I would love to go! I have been waiting all summer for this meeting. I know I will be gone for the rifle opener for deer but if it is not then I will try to make it. Whereabouts is this secret meeting? Do I need a password to get in or a special knock or something?

Looking forward to my first TA meeting so I can get to know many I've spoken to out on Big Blue this summer. Oct 4-15 is rifle deer season, so both those are bad for me. Schedule it whenever it works for the majority, I'll make the next one if I can't get to this first one.

BTW, where are they usually held?

I would think it's a salty dog type meeting, not something to do with ******* . My, the mind just keeps wandering.

TA= Tuna Aholics! Friday in October are rough, it's crab season and at least every other weekend I'l lbe heading down to fish for the guys that pinch back! Unlike TUNA, those guys with shells can draw blood. Don't ask me how I know that!  I'll try to make whatever night works out for the rest of ya. It's a long winter if I don't make the first one :depressed:

Hey Jim, if the video of you with your first stand up TUNA! is 1/2 as funny as the reality, we will need any watching it to sign a disclaimer .. they might die laughing or make tequila shoot out their noses.

Do TUNA! pull, Jim?

I'm not laughing at you Skein, oh moderating one, I'm laughing with you.

The 4th is officially a TUNA fishing day.
The 10th I am going Pheasant hunting in N.D.

Don't worry about me, and after all that I'll proly be to lazy to drive to Portland anyway, How about a Weekend in November, or the first of many more, T.A. meetings in the Puget Sound area.

October is a pretty tough month for those of us who put on the hunting boots.
We'd definitely need to have the big screen and vcr for this one. The Swordfish team has video to show and Baitboy should have some Costa Rica video too.

Hmmmmm... I just checked the tides. High tide at 7 something am on the 4th. Not a good morning to be crabbing although the morning swing is only a foot or so.

Nice incoming tide all morning on the 11th, looks like the 3rd will work for me but the 10th I'll be heading west into the sunset.

Ocean Blue,
It's been a long summer. The 3rd sounds good for me. The 10th is not a go .My wife and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary somewhere near Astoria on the 10th and 11th. I think all fishing and crabbing is out for that week-end. Just let me know when and where if it is on the 3rd. Tight Lines ,Tom

I told my wife again that we are going to come to a meeting this winter..
We dont get out much to socialize (never), and my wife was excited about the prospect of a T.A. party (meetng) .She ask if she could dress up.
I know this not my place but ,, I would like to propose the meeting be held near the first of November.
From the responses I see it looks like there are quite a few who would attend if it were not in Oct. Hunting season for big game. You can tell me to shut up if needed. I want to see the Vid. of Skein and his first tuna, . id.painter
