How many boots and what kind?
My girlfriend is always in awe of how many things I have. From coats to calls to horns to bows to guns....yada yada yada...
My question; How many pairs of boots do you have?
I have these on hand:
*1 Sorel Pac boot=snow
*1 Danner Radical=early archery
*1 Danner Rainforest= work and short coastal hunts
*1 Danner Pronghorn= miles of muley and chukar hunts
*1 Muck Chore boot= knock about in snow and rain
*2 hip waders=fishing and hunting
*3 chest waders=fishing and hunting
*Various cowboy and Romeos boots laying around.
She asked if this was a little too much.....

Re: How many boots and what kind?
I use to give the gals a bunch of flack about their shoes. They found me out. In my defence...I could only say..."at least I dont have to have every color in the rainbow."
I did'nt see any wading boots on your list. Ya must buy boot foot.

Those gym shoes get close to 106 miles a week on them. A 100 of those miles are in the gym bag, in the back seat of the car to and from town all week. The other average 6 miles a week are actually on my feet as I do my best impression of a squirrel in a wheel as I chase the black belt around and around at the gym going nowhere.

Re: How many boots and what kind?
Danner frontiers
Old pair of Bass brand boots that i wear early season. They started life as dress boots about 10 years ago
Sorel snow/pack boots
Neoprene waders
Camo turkey boots
Now shoes is another story.... I have probably 20 pairs of shoes and all of them get worn. I have a friend who used to work for adidas so i got a SWEET deal. And 4 pairs of dress shoes for work, 2 pair each of black and brown.

Re: How many boots and what kind?
I gotta laugh....I read the title real quick and read: "How many BOATS and what kind.
Had my answer all figured out.....until I started reading the replys and got confused.
Ok, ok......Boots:
light, heavy....high top, low top.......cool, warm......waterproof, breathable....camo, dress......
Not sure what you want to know. The more choices on hand the better.
The way I see it even if we only have 1/2 as many as the wife, we still have ALL we'll need.
One thing I DO think you definately have to have is a pair of Seal Skinz water socks.

Re: How many boots and what kind?
Sorel Pacs (2 pairs) for kicking around
North Face snow boots that I actually wear
Lacrosse Alphaburlys
Scarpa Liskamm
Cabela's Master guides that I wear once a hear
Danner Pronghorns - junk, but light.
Browning cordura - started using them for wader boots this year - they are good for something.
Whites pacs
Work boots - suicide on anything slippery
At least 4 pairs of waders and a pair of hip boots, but those don't really count.
Not boots, but one thing that I got for hunting this year that I was surprised by is a pair of Crocs. Bought them for hanging around camp on a sheep hunt to let the feet relax out of the boots. Really light, and they work great for that purpose. Not much good in deep snow though.

Re: How many boots and what kind?
chris you might have me beat, i'm not going to list them all but a rough count is 11 pairs in current use with 3-4 in semi retirement. so 14 pair of foot ware. so it might be a draw if i include my slippers

Dude, and I thought I had some dogs. I bet your not a 15 either, are ya(15+or-)? It ticks us big foots off that they don't make 1/2 sizes past size 12's-- as if feet past that size only come in full sizes....
Nuff whining. I like Cabelas 400 gram for cold too, and Nike hiking boots, LaCrosse cold weather waders, and Echo dress shoes, Euro size 37's--they fit!!!!

Re: How many boots and what kind?
If you add up wading boots, hunting boots, work boots, running shoes, dress shoes etc, I still have about 1/4 of the footwear my girlfriend has.

If she's questioning how much footwear you have, don't let her see you "accesorize".

I'm pretty much spot on to a 15, thankfully! Ever since my freshman year in high school, I've just found it easier to order my shoes out of a catalog.
