If it's for ducks ... everything including the kitchen sink!
Widgens, Mallards, Wood ducks, teal, blue bills ... lots of color and a goose floater or two for confinence. All quality decoys, no junk or beaters. A few full body mallards too. As much as I can carry.

Re: Decoys
For ducks the sky's the limit! All kinds of breeds, including some coots, and for confidence decoys (besides Canadas) we use a heron. More drakes makes more color in your spread.

Re: Decoys
I use to think the sky was the limit too. But I started hunting with 2 or 4 decoys and I've been going great.
I usually hunt with 120+ decoys and all the little gadgets. You just have to know what the ducks want.

Re: Decoys
If I am on the x, it will be a dozen or less. I add more if I need to, but rarely do if I am where the birds want to be. If I am pulling birds who want to be elsewhere, the circus. I have in my duckin rig:
Floaters:
5 dozen mallards
1 dozen fullbody mallards
1 dozen wigeon
1 dozen bluebills
1 dozen pintail
6 teal
6 canada goose
Field:
1 dozen fullbody mallards
24 full body lessers
6 canada shells
Motion:
2 pull string spinners
2 jerk cords rigged for 6-8 deeks each, about 200' long
1 wind spinner
1 kite
And yes, I have run it all, but it's rare.

Re: Decoys
I am a believer in less is more. 1-2 dozen GOOD looking decoys, a GOOD spinner (none of that winduck crap) and that should be all it takes. A jerk string on a few if the spinner flares em, and you should be good to go.
If i'm alone i'll pack 8 decoys and the spinner on my pack frame and thats it.
I have some new full bodies that i'm excited to use.

Do you mean spinner as in a mojo or a knotty duck.
