I got a call in November about 100 and 600 series Deer hunting, then again a few weeks later asking about upland birds.

I do know that there has been times when we were halibutt fishing and got back late that there was no one on the docks to check our fish and I always wondered about quota counts. Same as sturgeon at the estuary.

NOpe...havent had a call yet this year. But every other year I have at some point. I believe with the mandatory reporting of success starting this year that those calls will be less and less. Reading the new synopsis it says that they will still do some calling to compare results with the mandatory call in and internet survey.

Got the call at 7:30 tonight for rifle. I even fiilled out my harvest report online about a month ago

I heard that they will be requiring you to report wether you fill your tag or not. Not sure when that goes into affect.

Yah they are doing the mandatory reporting next year still as a trial and then starting in 2010 you will have some kind of consequences if you don't report. my guess is that you will lose out for a year on hunting?

I got the call.

Why do we have to report our harvest on-line after the hunt if they are still going to call us and ask the same questions?

I think I've been called three times this year. For several years, I've received the calls at least a couple of times a year. 'Happy to help them. Don

They are still making calls to validate the "Mandatory Report".
I have not gotten one this year but have almost every year in the past.
Do not forget to do your "Mandatory Reporting". This year no penalty for not making the report next there may be one.

Same here, Wheels. I haven't been able to hunt for the past three years but up until then I can't remember getting a call. Been checked many times up in the woods to see if I was legal though. One year the OSP was waiting by my rig when I came out. Don't know how long he had been waiting but he wanted to see my papers.

That is the set-up for trapping. If you don't fill out the report and have it turned in by the date set, no trapping the next year. That is the reason we aren't trapping this year. Things came up and the report was put on the back self until to late.

I think I was called twice, step-daughter talked to the first one, talked about elk hunting and how big it was, ect. Boy, I wonder how many poachers get tripped up on that phone call? ODF&W-did your Dad get an elk this year? Kid-yep, he got three of them! I thought it was weird they would take information from someone other than the person with the tag.

Sounds like they called tonight, but the wife told them I wasn't home yet from work and that was that.
