"Cindy Lou" is alive!
Heading down to Chinook Wa. this weekend to pick her up. Missed her terribly the last week of August and will attempt another ocean run this weekend off the Columbia.
Diagnosis: starboard manifold cracked all the way through inside causing the motor to hydo-lock. No engine damage thankfully. Starboard riser absolute junk too. Portside manifold had a crack starting in it too. Replaced all. Tune up, service the outdrive and change the motor mounts and she is suppose to be as good as new.
Sure hope all is well with her. May try a few trips out of Tilly or Depoe for some nook action in the future, then it will be off to bed for the winter time.
Man I missed that boat!

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
In Pirate Speek, it's TTTTUUUUUNNNNNAAAAA! (low throat growl). You just have to here 1-eyed do it and then se the fish start hitting to believe it!
Bernie- Glad to here Cindy Lou is on the mend. Miss B is still awaiting her first operation, an exhaust system transplant. She's supposed to be out of the recovery room this Friday (if the doc isn't to bust playing golf). I'm planning on riding with Minaki cause I didn't want to have to cancel a crew if she didn't recover. See ya on the bar?? We're going for a bottom and ??? run.

Per; Ocean Blue's Post
Look's like we had better get-um while the gettin's good. Next year 40fath + max. We need to find another hole out there somewhere or get a bigger boat. It's a little spooky out there after Sept. 30.

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
Glad you are back on the water Well be down Friday afternoon early to put my pots in and maybe catch the top of the tide at 10 of the wind is OK. Plan on scooting across the bar early Sat for some salmon slaying, conditions permitting.
What channel on you on?? Will stop by your slip if you are around. Have a bunch of company chasing crabs this weekend with some rings as we did pretty well last weekend. Will finish them up tonight along with some fresh tuna. UMMMMMMMM
Hope that answers Mel's question.
See you soon.

Bernie- I was impressed with your anchoring skills on your sled, I couldn't imagine how much grace would be invloved anchoring the mighty Cindy Lou

Bite me Chris! You may be right though. What guage aluminum is your boat? Just wondering because I feel like Rodney Dangerfield driving his cruiser in "Caddy Shack". You did see the movie right? D'oh!!!!!!!!!!

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
It's not the guage of my aluminum that you should worry about my friend, it's the guage under the seat you should concern yourself with
I loved that movie....
Congrats on the rebirth and I look forward to sharing some water with you soon. Do I see a Sturgeon Challenge coming in the near months ahead

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
Oh yeah. Ugly Green will be needing to pass the Sturgeon Baton come December. Shall we have your name engraved?
About the guage under the seat. After the anchor drop you might think about a life ring or survival suit bro. You're a good guy Chris even if you say your sturgeon fishing when your really salmon fishing.

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
Ah yes, the cat is out of the bag. If my grumpy looks do not detour people from anchoring 1 1/2 inches from me, the sturgeon rod usually does  I'm glad I got a chance to meet Spooled, he seems like a great guy and knows his fishing. He even only had to anchor up once to get beside us, unlike someone else I know He was even nice enough to tell me a little about you

Re: "Cindy Lou" is alive!
Oh no! Mr. Bill!! Its Mr. Hand. Oh nooooooooo! Hope Troy did'nt share to much with ya. Would'nt want ya to know that I wash my anchor rope with Lemon Joy when I'm bored. Opps!!!!
Troy's a good guy and a good fishin bud. He is never ending entertainment. Matter fact his yapper moves faster than Busta Rymes if you get my drift. One thing about Troy though, just last year he hated springer fishing. Now look at him. New sled, new drift boat. Which is getting used more. The sled. Why? Chinook Salmon!!! Springers, Summer Hogs, Fall nooks. You name it he is trying it.
Now as far as my anchoring skills may I remind you who started that line? Had you really been the enforcer you would have had everybody in line with ya. But nooooooooo......your slacker attitude because of "family" showed through and look at the mess the line was. It was so bad I could'nt even get a bite. There, its your fault Chris that my boys did'nt get a fish. Crooked anchor line, crooked hog line. Good thing I'm just bustin you chops a little. Take care and kill a few more fish Bro. That day My boat just stunk up the place.
Bernie
