Can you tell me what VHF channels the Salty Dogs monitor out of Newport and what channels the charter boats monitor? Any information you can provide would be appreciated. Thank you.

boats, Salty Dogs on VHF 78, Charters on VHF 80. We talk in the clear, they talk in code. Be aware that the whale watchers are on 78 too.

Actually the Depoe Bay charters use 80, the Newport charters use another channel. Not sure right off the top of my head which one it is.

But as Pilar suggested, the Salty Dogs use 78 in either area.
