Why I wanted Antlers!!

OK...This is what I do with my antlers when there is no TUNA fishing

Any morel lovers out there that would like a nice gift for whom ever PM me or if any of you hunters are planning on attending the gun show this weekend at the expo center me and my mushrooms will be there with a large display of guns and....the mushrooms look alot better in person than pictures.Merry Christmas to all

Awesome art... I used to hunt morels when I lived in Indiana. Not much luck here. What kind of stain did you use on thse? I have a set I need to fix. The wife killed a 180 class muley about 15 years ago and her folks left the antlers on the shed... Such a shame.

Thanks again everyone.On the small ones it usually takes me a couple of hours to carve and the bigger ones three to five hours.The stain is a polyurathane that I mix to try and get as close to a natural color of a mushroom.Lots of time spent on them but I love carving.

This is the first gun show I have ever been to.I was asked by a friend whom I fish with to come and help him at his booth and by the way bring your carved mushrooms.I said OK so this is all new to me.Should be interesting since I know a few people who are patrolling the gun show.
