Default New twist on a Combo trip

Well I tried to get out on an Albacore trip today but I had no luck. So I went out of Newport on a combo trip aboard the Sea Venture. We went to the Rock Pile and got limits of rock fish in two hours. With 7 hours left on the trip the skipper offerd us to go to the Chicken Ranch instead of Salmon fishing. 4 hours later we had limits of Butts up tp 58 pounds. Great trip Great crew.

The ocean was pretty nice. had some big ground sweels in the morning but they mellowed out as we got to the Rockpile. The wind started to kick up as we got to the Chicken ranch which gave us a perfect drift. the ride back was a bit sloppy.

I made hazelnut crusted halibut tonight for dinner.

Booja 1 we need to go on a trip together some time. It sounds like you had a great bite during you visit to So. Cal.
