Julie Rose III Heading South
Well....Julie and I have decided to head south next month, with the final destination of Ixtapa Mexico. We will be "jumping" her down the coast to reach San Diego sometime in November for an eventual border crossing after the hurricane season is officially lifted. Our plan is to slip at Cabo, and make the last leg to Ixtapa just before the Salty Dog invasion in early spring. Mark Mc, or Threemuch....If you talk to Mark Capra anytime in the near future, have him e-mail me. I'd like to set up a rendezvous in SF with him and my high school buddy (his best friend John) and another mutual buddy Dave Langdon.

Man, you'll do anything to catch a Swordfish on your boat
I hope you have a safe and festive journey.
Maybe I'll see you there, stranger things have been known to happen.
I sure hope the weather holds for you and beware the cape...
And keep an eye out for Pirates

Very nice --
Have a wonderful time...make sure you have plenty of Pacifico, Corona, and Dos Equis on board. Oh, and some of that green labeled stuff too.
Have a safe trip.

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
My only question for you is, "What's your policy on stowaways?"
Depending on the harshness of the penalty it might be worth it!
Good times and safe seas to you my friend! You're the envy of everyone on the board.

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
Jen....I don't have my exact itinerary set yet, but the total distance to Cabo is about 1600nm. The trip to Diego will proly be done in two jumps, stopping in SF for a few days.

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
Bruce, enjoy this journey... You have earned it.
I will be looking forward to hearing the stories first hand when you return. You are coming back, right
Anyway, if it is at all possible I would love to run into you down there.
Are your sons gonna crew with you?
How long is the trip to San Fran?
I sure would be interested in the itenerary when you get it put together.
Will you check in from time to time to let us know how the trip is going?
You are my hero Bruce. I've got to hear all about it cause that's as close as I can come to doing it for now anyway .

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
Popeye,
Bruce, will you be venturing up the Sea Of Cortez at all? I will be heading down the first week of November. I'll be camping out with my 15' skiff...probably around Mulege/Loreto, but I may venture down to the East Cape.
Safe travels,
steve

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
I'm with Rod. As long as you don't hang 'em out at sea, where's the best place for a couple of stowaways to hide?
BTW, haven't I told you that I'm still a TUNA! virgin?
Popeye, have a wonderful trip and keep us posted.

Re: Julie Rose III Heading South
Bruce and Julie,
Wishing you a safe and wonderful voyage!!
I am looking forward to hearing about and keeping up with your journey and "adventures". Are you going to be able to post to ifish often?? I was thinking it would be great to have some of my students track your journey on a map in the classroom.
How are you feeling, Bruce?? How did you get food poisoning??
Sorry we didn't come by to see you and Julie before we left Newport. Jim offered to help some folks on a sailboat and we had his mom and her husband with us. We didn't feel we should descend on you while you weren't feeling well. It looked as if you had company already.
Good luck on the swordfish trip! Jim is really pumped!
Do have a great trip.!!
Let us know what we can contribute toward the trip.
