Default Winter Range conditions...

Spent the afternoon tracking cats yesterday in some winter range not to far from pendleton. Temps were 10 Deg and there was atleast a foot of snow and snowing hard when we left.

Saw lots of whitetails a few local elk and I am sure the big groups will be showing up very VERY SOON!

Anyone else have reports?

This is for the Starkey, ukiah units elk....

Did you see a lot of cat sign ? I was thinking of trying to call some and maybe do a little tracking this weekend.

the deer have been all over the place around here this fall. I want to get out this week and have a look, see if this weather has them more concentrated yet, but Im thinking it may have to wait until after X-mas, I just have too much to do.
