Tuna catching, round 3, coming soon
Look what this recent SW blow is doing...it's bringing the warm water in closer. When this system peters out & it becomes fishable again, be ready to go! My gut feeling is Wed. of next week will be the hot bite....
Note the temp rise in last 2 days:

Re: Tuna catching, round 3, coming soon
That would be true, Les. Problem is, I keep giving away samples of fresh tuna - a pound here & a pound there - and for some reason the recipients come back to me and say they now want a whole bunch more. So I must do my duty and oblige them, at least one more time anyways!

Re: Tuna catching, round 3, coming soon
Sorry for the late post! It was Great we cruised out in a little under a hour.It started getting a little wind about 1 in the afternoon, but all day we heard the coasties saying that the bar was restricted to 26" and we would look at each other and go "no way".The bar was a little rough coming but that was because of the out going tide.

Re: Tuna catching, round 3, coming soon
Mark,
If you'd like, I could help you can your next round (or at least part of it ) to help make sure you get a good seal.
I don't know about you, but I can overlook things that are right in front of me when I do them, but will catch 'em everytime when someone else does the same thing
Perhaps an observer/beer opener could help you solve your problems???

Re: Tuna catching, round 3, coming soon
Hey Charlie, thanks for the offer. It almost feels like I'm the little old lady and a boy scout is offering to help me across the street. I was hoping that topic of me & my canning would just die on the i-fish vine. Maybe, just maybe, I did figure out what I did wrong but am too embarassed to admit it, and it will take at least one beer to get it out of me.

Too funny Granny !!
Naw...ya can't be much older than me Mark, I reserve that kind of treatment for the over 70 crowd. I was really just looking for an excuse to drink beer
I only live a few miles up the road from ya, so if ya feel like getting anything off your chest , just let me know!
