Bangkok Tuna
Depoe Bay Dan -- I couldn't find peanut oil at Freddy's so I tried what I thought might be the next best thing. It turned out great and its simple too.
Cut Tuna! loin into 1" steaks, marinate in Bangkok Padang Peanut Sauce (by House of Tsang, at Fred Meyers) for 1/2 hour. Sear on very hot grill, 45 seconds each side (just until peanut sauce blackens), baste during the flip, and its done. Black on the outside, pink on the inside, yum yum!!
Went well with sourdough bread, rice and a pilsner or two (milk for you, of course). Let me know what you think.
I've eaten two loins since Sunday night, tried 5 different marinades. This one was one of the best, along with the Wasabi sauce I found in the sushi section. Gonna have to change the diet to something else today, perhaps a Tuna sandwich or something!
