New to Ifish
My name is Ray Davis. I fish out of Chinook, Wa. with my partner Dale. We have a 23.5' Pursuit 350 gmc We fish mostly in the ocean. We limited every time on salmon this year, mostly salmon and a few chinook and 41 tuna. Had one 27 lb tuna. Looking for the halibut hole out in the front of the Columbia; know its about 30 mi out. We've been out there 3 times but have not located any halibut. Have been reading posts here and really happy that I found Ifish. Sure I'll learn a lot and maybe even offer some help. Ray

Welcome to Ifish!
You hang around and get to know folks, and I'm sure you'll have your numbers before long.
Now where's your story! No posting til we have a story
And fish counts don't count!

Hey Ray... tell us a real story... I bet Miss B Haven might ante-up some numbers for ya! Mel is a real stickler for the stories, though.

Re: New to Ifish
There is no shame in being inventive! Tell us a great fishing lie and we will happily smile and fade away! Welcome to the best board I have ever found for fishing...or anything else. This group has been warm, accepting, and very helpful in my fishing life. They have offered helpful information, acted as wing help for all types of fishing and even had a number of offers for help with the boat as I was getting her prepared for the salt! Real folks....real nice...real helpful...real often!
Welcome aboard and I hope to meet you at one of our gatherings...and tap your experience on the lower Columbia and outside!
WP (Dave)

Re: New to Ifish
Welcome to ifish gonzoray, you're going to love this site and all the great dogs. What were you doing on that 23.5 Pursuit looking for halibut without your pants on?

Re: New to Ifish
Welcome GonzoRay...this place is 'one-stop-shopping' for fishing advice.
However, the quality of numbers you get could be directly related to the quality of story you provide.
C'mon, think! I know you've got a good one!
