Default saturday tuna depoe

Is there a pack of people going out Saturday to the 61 degree mark? I am not for sure but was thinking about a trip. I have no wingman if I do go and was wondering if I went out if their would be boats out there? I dont want to confirm with anybody because I would hate to be a no show if someone was counting on me being there. Weather looks ok hope it stays this way and sounds like fish are being caught by the postings I have read.

Pacific Mistress will probably leave Depoe Bay at about 5:30 or 6:00 AM
Saturday morning for Tuna. I'll probably be monitoring VHF channel 80
until I get out about 20 miles. At that point I may switch over to channel
78, depending on who else is out there.

Choo Choo,

I'm going to try Saturday...I will be somewhat out of contact for the next couple of days. I have to go to the furnace from hell (Fresno).

Try me on my work cell mid-day Friday or so...(541) 230-0627.

If I do go, I will be leaving Depoe no later than 6.

I am getting more serious about this trip and would like to make sure there will be boats out there because tuna fishing with out company is semi stupid. Planning to go due west 21 miles and start trolling from depoe depart between 5.30 and 6.00. Please post so I can know what channel to contact on so we can round um up and slay. ChooChoo is 20 ft two tone grey seaswirl. Previously used 16 going out and 78 when out there.

Pacific Mistress will be leaving port at 5:30 AM and going out approx. 24-25
miles to drop gear. I'll start on channel 80 and probably switch to channel 78
about the time I start dropping gear in the water.

See ya out there!!

-assAssin-

EDIT: I changed the 21-22 miles to 24-25 miles. Just got off the phone with
Carl Vertner (the deck hand on Tacklebuster) and he told me that Dave on the
Enterprise caught 65 fish at 35 miles. I don't want to drop in TOO soon!!

Actually Mark I talked to DeBelloy (Enterprise)last night at the Spouting Horn and he got 55 tuna. Still a great day and I believe that is the best charter score out of Depoe so far this year. Some of the ifisher's were out fishing next to him yesterday which I think includes Nancy.

Yes, the Enterprise got 55 tuna, as that's all their fish boxes would hold without breaking open the blast freezer. I talked to Rick (Deck Hand) last evening while we were carking tuna. We were fishing right along side them all afternoon.

Anyone else planning to come along??

According to latest Terrafin and Coastwatch shots, looks like 45 00, 124 30 would be a pretty good place to start.

See ya there, can't wait to cark!
