I only have one seasons worth of experience with it so far. It's the perfect archery ranger if you ask me. Very easy to use.

The last couple weeks I've taken my son's out to the woods and we estimate the yardage prior to ranging it. I did also this several times prior to season as well. As you guessed the steep angles are the tricky ones.

Enjoy!

I have found that they dont range black targets very well. Also in bow mode it wont range anything over 60 yds. I also hered through the grape vine that they are coming out with a new and improved model. The nice thing about leupold is they stand behind there product 100% and there local so if you have a problem they will take care of it.

I dont own one but I did a bit of research deciding what I will purchase when I do.

I'm going for the Lieca 1200.

I read all the reviews and then went to test one and see if I agreed with the reviews (they are great for giving you a list of things to look for)

Negatives I noted:

1:The eye piece is very small.
2: The screen is very cluttered.
3: The display is dark (in Sportsmans I couldnt see the display against an elk mount on the wall)
4: At longer range, 400 yards or more, it was very sensitive to any movement. You pretty well had to have a rest for anything 400 yards or so.
5: The backlight was very poor.
6: Not sure my memeory is correct but I believe they only have a 1 year warranty. Not lifetime like thier US made optics.
7: Its made in China (or some other country) and the optics quality reflect this.

Positives:

1: It gave the angle readings, yardage figures.

If a person was set on having the angle compensation stuff for mid to short range work I would look hard at the Nikon offerings.

I hope you realy like your RX2. It seems looking at the reviews that it is a love it or hate it kind of product.
